Powershell Management Agent for FIM 2010 released to public

UPDATED: September 11, 2012 - Old version has been replaced by the ECMA2 version. That can be found here http://blog.goverco.com/p/powershell-management-agent.html
UPDATED: See http://blog.goverco.com/2012/01/powershell-management-agent-updated.html

I've decided to release my Powershell Management Agent to the general public. You'll find all the binaries and documentation (see update).

For more information on the project, see my previous blog.

This project has been created in my sparetime, and I do not except to get paided for this kind of work; however if you find this Management Agent valuable and you use it commercially, please donate appropriate amount (suggested amount if used commercially is $250) to encourage further development and bugfixes.

Happy scripting and please let me know good and bad findings with this Management Agent.

  1. FYI:

I have noticed that on occasion an export run of the PowerShell Management Agent stops short of the correct amount of exports, and ends up with a seemingly corrupt connector space - as in I cannot delete the connector space or MA and get this error trying so: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/2d27d4a7-363e-4b95-be13-f7e8bfe898e4

I've resorted to using a script to clear out the CS directly in the SQL database, but I would think that the condition is some sort of bug with the MA.

  2. Hello, Edombroski

Thanks for letting me know; however, I think that you've run into an issue that was resolved in one of the latest hotfixes for FIM 2010; please let me know the exact error that you get when trying to delete the CS. I saw this issue at one of my customers and it was because of a missing hotfix.

  3. Is it possible to get actual screen shots of the creation and setup of the management agent?

  4. @Quy Du: Sorry, but for now I don't have any screen shots. However, the installation procedure should be fully described in the documentation included in the downloadable kit. Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to extend the documentation with this on next release.

  6. Hi, Ryan

Thank for your interest; you're right the links are broken. Drop me an email on soren(at)granfeldt.dk and I'll get the kit to you via mail.

I'm currently considering another download possibility and will update links then.
