However, last week Microsoft announced that the XMA framework is deprecated.
The Home Directory MA is written in this now deprecated XMA framework. Unfortunately very few people write to me of their usage of the MA, so I'm unable to contact them directory about this fact. If you're using it, you will eventually have to replace it with an updated version and probably sometime in the near future.
Leave a comment on this blog entry to let me know, if you're using it - and if there is enough demand out there, I will definitely have a look into building a newer version in ECMA2.
Hope to hear from you.

Hello,
I'm new to FIM. im in the middle of setting up a new install of FIM to manage our users identity's
so far the only problem I'm come into is creating and updating users home directory's in AD. when provisioning users I need to map, create and set permissions for each users home directories. so far I can only see how to map the home directory for each user. is there a way I can use the FIM portals workflows to pass required information to a powershell / VB script to preform the creation and permissions?
or will I need to use your script for this? I'm also a bit concerned if I start to use your script now will I run into issues down the line with the now deprecated XMA framework?
Thanks
Pete
Peter,
The Home Dir MA is deprecated; have a look at my PowerShell MA (http://blog.goverco.com/p/powershell-management-agent.html).
